This webinar will help Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) and military partners understand the different and complimentary roles of the military Family Advocacy Program (FAP) clinician and the CAC family advocate. Participants will learn about the NCA victim advocacy and support standard for accredited centers and hear how one CAC-FAP partnership coordinates advocacy and support services for military families.

Heather Provencher, LCSW, is Senior Manager for Federal Partnerships at National Children’s Alliance (NCA). Prior to joining NCA, she worked in foster care and child protective services and held investigative, forensic interviewing, advocacy, and prevention education roles at Children's Advocacy Centers in Maryland and California.
Alyson McKenzie
Director of Accreditation

Alyson MacKenzie is the Director of Accreditation at National Children’s Alliance, and manages the accreditation process for Child Advocacy Centers throughout the country. Previously Alyson was the Senior Program Associate of Accreditation at NCA as well as Program Associate at NCA, managing grants and membership for the Southern Region of the United States. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Certificate in Human Service Management from Boston University. Ms. MacKenzie has years of experience providing training and technical assistance to Children’s Advocacy Centers across the country.
Amber Garrison-Ahmed, LCSW

Amber Garrison-Ahmed, LCSW is the Coordinator for Federal Partnerships at NCA. She received her education at University of Denver earning her Masters of Social Work and a certification in Animal Assisted Social Work in 2008. Amber became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2011. She is an experienced Social Worker with over 18 years of experience specializing in the care of domestic violence, child abuse, crisis intervention, child protection, and military social work.

Stacy Wasserman joined the SungateKids team in July 2018. Stacy has spent her career in informal youth education and early childhood education. Stacy’s dedication to the betterment of children of all ages and commitment to best practices in education led her to SungateKids. Working with children and their families in such an empowering way is Stacy’s passion. She lives in Denver with her husband and two children.
