While National Children’s Alliance national Memorandum of Understandings primarily focus on active-duty military families, many Children’s Advocacy Centers serve children and caregivers connected to the National Guard. This session will explore the unique structure, roles, and response of the National Guard in cases of child maltreatment, with particular attention to how Guard status can impact access to services, reporting processes, and available supports for families. Participants will also learn about resources specific to National Guard members and their families and identify opportunities for collaboration between CACs and National Guard partners.
